Description:

The application enables remote control of an iPhone or iPad camera using another iPhone or iPad. Leveraging peer-to-peer Wi-Fi technology, the devices communicate directly without the need for shared Wi-Fi infrastructure, akin to the functions of AirPlay and AirDrop. This feature allows operation without internet access or a Wi-Fi router, maintaining a connection over a distance of approximately 20 feet.

The app offers functionality to select specific cameras on devices with multiple lenses and enables manual configuration of camera settings, including frame rate adjustments. Users can optimize energy consumption by lowering the frame rate, which is particularly beneficial for older iPhone or iPad models with limited battery capacity.

Compatible with iOS 12 and newer, this application can utilize devices starting from the iPhone 5S as a screen. Notably, for optimal performance, it is advisable to use the latest iPhone or iPad model as the camera. This choice enhances frame processing efficiency and minimizes both power consumption and heat generation. In contrast, older devices may struggle with overheating, potentially leading to automatic shutdowns during usage. For extended surveillance tasks with older devices, selecting video mode and a smaller resolution (e.g., 360p) is recommended, while photo mode can be utilized for brief periods.

For inspections in challenging conditions, such as examining the undercarriage of a vehicle, protective measures should be taken. It is recommended to use a phone case and place the device in a clear zip-lock bag to safeguard it from dirt and damage while ensuring visibility.

Caution is advised regarding temperature; inspected mechanisms should not be overly hot. For example, bringing an iPhone near heated components can cause damage due to heat exposure. Ensure that the environment does not contain harmful substances or microorganisms that could pose risks to either the device or the user.

The app also supports standalone operation for taking photos and videos with manual settings. Users can save camera configurations to a file within the app's folder, accessible through the built-in "Files" app. These settings files can be transferred to other devices; however, it is important to restart the app after making changes to retain new configurations. When saving, if exposure and white balance are set to automatic mode, those values will be fixed upon saving. Conversely, if these settings are disabled when saved, only manual configurations will be retained.

Users can manage their saved settings easily: selecting “Save settings” stores configurations before naming them and confirming with “Save.” The names of saved settings may include emojis for personalization. In the settings list, users can swipe left for options to rename or delete saved configurations and can rearrange items by touching and holding them.
